Cooperative Rolling System
Cooperative rolling system
All players roll their respective die from their characters pool. Based on the current test some players will roll large die while others will roll small. The result is based on the outcome of all roles.
Example: the pcs are trying to knock down a large door. Each will contribute a die from their skill set. The warrior may have a d10 while the bard only has a d4. Thus the stronger warrior has a greater chance to contribute a success, while the bard will probably fail and hurt the teams outcome.
Target numbers are based on the number of players at the table. So that means that 1 is considered easy, 2 normal, 3 hard, 4 nigh impossible. As you can see the TN reflects the number of successes needed to be rolled by the pcs.
TNs also exist in the die number needed to be rolled. For example a wizard casting a spell may only need to roll a 5 using a d20. But that same 5 also must be met by the thief with little to no magic skills who only rolls with a d6. Tough roll.
Players may bump up their die by offering a great idea or role playing an awesome scene.
Players earn xp after each test, however the bigger the party attempting to work together the greater the yield.
